Starting the Oracle WebCenter Interaction and Search Services
on Windows
This topic describes the Windows services associated with
Oracle WebCenter Interaction components, and in what order the Oracle
WebCenter Interaction services should be started.
You must start the services in the following order. Depending
on which components you installed, some services might not be applicable
to your portal installation.
- Go to the Windows Services control panel.
- Start BEA ALI Search host_name.
host_name is the name of the machine where
Oracle WebCenter Interaction Search is installed.
Note: It is important that third-party virus scanners do not attempt to
scan the search service archives.
- Start BEA ALI Search Cluster Manager.
- Start BEA ALI API Service.
- Start BEA ALI LDAP Directory.
- Start BEA ALI Automation Service.
- Start BEA AL Notification Service.
- Start BEA ALI Document Repository Service.
- Start BEA ALI Content Upload Service.
- Start BEA ALI Remote Portlet Service.
