Description

Action

Verify that the TUXCONFIG environment variable is correctly set, that the TUXCONFIG file still exists, and that the permissions on the TUXCONFIG file are correct. Examine the userlog for possible further information about the error.

ERROR: Execute permission denied, not application administrator

Description

The TMS_rac_refresh command cannot execute because it is not running under the UID of the Tuxedo System Administrator or as root. The ID of the Tuxedo System Administrator is specified by the UID parameter in the *MACHINES or *RESOURCES section of the TUXCONFIG file.

Action

Be sure that you are running as the Tuxedo System Administrator ID when executing the TMS_rac_refresh command.

ERROR: Unable to initialize public key subsystem

Description

TMS_rac_refresh(1) was unable to initialize its public key subsystem. There may be a problem with the registry, or with the configured plug-in.

Action

Ensure the registry is in a consistent state with the epifregedt(1) command. If you believe the registry is in a consistent state, please contact BEA Customer Support.

ERROR: Cannot become a client - tperrno tperrno_value errno errno_value Uunixerr Uunixerr_value

Description

The administrative client TMS_rac_refresh could not join the application. tperrno_value provides further information about the cause of the problem. If tperrno_value is TPEOS (7), then errno_value contains the operating system error number and Uunixerr_value contains a code representing the failed system call.

Action

There may be more than one instance of TMS_rac_refresh(1) running at the same time. Ensure that at most one instance of TMS_rac_refresh(1) is running at any one time.

Description

The group groupname specified as an argument to TMS_rac_refresh(1) does not exist. This group will be ignored.

While recovering a transaction after TMS_rac_refresh was invoked, the TMS found that the transaction was already associated with the maximum number of groups, 16, and the TMS was unable to add a new group to the transaction.

ERROR: xa_recover() returned return_value for group groupname

Description

While recovering a transaction after TMS_rac_refresh was invoked, the Oracle resource manager returned an error when xa_recover() was called to find prepared global transactions. The error return value was return_value. These error values are listed in the $TUXDIR/include/xa.h with definitions starting with XAER_

Action

Check the Oracle logs to find further information about the cause of the error.

ERROR: Inconsistent RAC group found

Description

While attempting to commit a transaction, the TMS noticed that the transaction contained one or more forbidden groups based on the setting of the TUXRACGROUPS environment variable on this machine and the hash of the GTRID. As a result, the TMS decided to rollback this transaction.

Action

The TUXRACGROUPS environment variable must have been unset or set to a different value on one of the other participant machines for this transaction. Check that the TUXRACGROUPS environment variable is set and is set to the same value on all machines in this configuration. This check can be done by searching for informational message LIBTUX_CAT:6500 in the ULOG for each machine in the configuration. Reboot the BBL process on any machine where TUXRACGROUPS is not currently set or is set to an inconsistent value.

Action

Specify only valid group IDs when invoking TMS_rac_refresh(1). TMS_rac_refresh(1) accepts both symbolic group IDs and numeric group IDs.
