Java Security Packages
IBM Java 1.4 and higher must contain a JCE provider. Bouncy Castle provider is supported, and JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files are required.
Copy from Bouncy Castle provider the file bcprov-jdk14-*.jar into IBMJava2/jre/lib/ext.
Add the following row into the file java.security located in IBMJava2/jre/lib/security:
security.provider.5=org.bouncycastle.jce.provider.BouncyCastleProvider
Database server and its JDBC-driver(s) - BEA AquaLogic Service Registry supports several database engines:
Hypersonic SQL database (preconfigured) - the database server, files, and JDBC drivers are included with BEA AquaLogic Service Registry distribution and do not require any external resources.
Supported database servers (Oracle, MS SQL 2000, DB2, Sybase, PostgreSQL) - BEA AquaLogic Service Registry will install the database files, but you must provide the database server and the JDBC drivers.
LDAP or other external account repository - This is required only when installing using the scenario External Account Integration as described in External Accounts Integration .
LDAP - tested on Sun ONE Directory Server v 5.2, MS Windows 2003 Server Active Directory.
For non-LDAP repository you must implement the appropriate Java interface. For details, please see External Accounts Integration.
