Usage is a special taxonomic extension available only in BEA AquaLogic Service Registry . The usage categorization system is tied to the systinet-com:taxonomy:usage tModel. Usage is unchecked. Specific policies for its use are reserved for users and administrators to define. It is provided to classify Services, Interfaces and Endpoints according to publisher intentions for their use.
Usage browse functionality allows you to group then review records that include these categorization systems. This approach to browsing is fully extensible to similar taxonomic systems and can serve as a model for implementing similar custom console browsing idioms.
If you are not already on the Browse Taxnomies view click the Reports tab in the upper left corner of the console
In the left navigation panel click the Usage node. This loads the Browse Taxonomies view in the central panel.
From here you can browse reports based on the three standard record types to which the Usage aspect applies.
View Service records by clicking the Services tab. Depending on your user profile this will load either a Technical, Common or Business view of the Service records.
View Endpoint records by clicking the Endpoints tab. Depending on your user profile this will load either a Technical, Common or Operational view of the Endpoint records.
View Interface records by clicking the Interfaces tab. Depending on your user profile this will load either a Technical or Common or view of the Interface records.
Change the view with the result view drop down list box in the top right corner of the list.
