Managing Records in the Catalog

Often after a record has been published the system resource that it represents changes. It may go into production after being in Beta level testing. It may be deprecated. Or it may pass certification tests. Each of these changes in the resource's state needs to be reflected in the record that represents it in the Registry.

When managing a record through the Business Services Console Catalog, a multi-step wizard will guide you through the process. The wizard is very much the same as the Publish wizard. You will have the chance to modify all states and aspects appropriate to a given record type. When all changes to a record have been made correctly clicking the Finish button on the last wizard page, will record those changes in the Registry database.
