Through its life cycle an interface will change and evolve. The registry records that represent it need to be updated to reflect this fact. An interface's URL may be change. A description may need to be tightened. Usage definitions may change as well as certification, classifications and status.
Log in if you have not already done so.
Click on the Catalog tab to bring up the Catalog view.
In the left side navigation pane click the Interfaces node.
Find the interface you wish to edit. In the central panel, Either...
...Click the My interfaces link to get a view of all interfaces published under your user account.
OR
...Click the List all Interfaces link and browse for the Interface record you wish to edit.
OR
...Click the Search interfaces link and search for the Interface record you wish to edit.
Click the Edit Icon for the interface you wish to edit. The Edit Icon is the one that looks like a pencil and pad of paper at the end of a record. The Edit interface wizard will launch.
In the first panel update the Interface's Name, Overview URL (URL to the WSDL containing the portType), and Description.
Once these have been set appropriately, click the button.
In this step the Interface properties need to be set. These mean:
Usage - a short string whose meaning is reserved for the User or Registry Administrator to define.
Status - Is this a Beta test version? Has it been deprecated or obsoleted>?
Compliance - If this interface has passed Web Services Interoperability or similar standardized tests for compliance to industry specifications it should be indicated here.
Once they have been appropriately set, click the Finish button
Once the record has been rewritten to the registry a notification message containing a link to the Interface Details view will load into the central panel.
