Selecting a Service Key

Some registry operations require a Service as uniquely identified by a Service Key. Service Keys can be selected by Name, by the owning business, by category or by the tModels that they depend on.

To Select a Service Key by Name

  • In the originating console panel click the Select service key button. The "Select service key" panel will load.

  • Click the Add name button.

  • In the edit box that is loaded, enter all or part of the Service name. You can add the "%" wildcard at the start and end of your string. For example "%Customer%" will retrieve the "AddCustomerService" and the "CustomerNotificationService".

  • Click the green check icon. This will add the string to the set of service names to be searched.

  • If you want to check for more than one service name, repeat steps 2 through 4.

  • Click the Find button at the bottom of the console.

  • In the returned record set, locate the desired service and click the Select Service Key icon - the one furthest to the left. This will load the uddi identifier for this service in the edit box in the originating control.

  • Continue in the originating control according to its semantics.
