Enterprise Social Interaction Enhancements
AquaLogic Interaction 6.5 provides features that enable customers to build social, interactive applications that increase the transparency of the day-to-day operations of their employees.
- Activity Stream + REST API: each user has an activity stream (a list of activities/events) which can be enriched by any application that can communicate via HTTP
- End-user status update: users can update their own status information; the status can be added to the user profile page and subscribed to by other users
- Clean URLs for user profile pages: you can navigate directly to the user profile page of a particular user by typing a URL that includes the user's full name into the address bar
- Refreshed user interface (UI): the user profile page UI is less cluttered than in previous versions
- Adaptive layouts for the user profile page: this makes customizing the user profile page UI much easier
Automatic and Integrated Friendly (Human-Readable) URLs
AquaLogic Interaction 6.5 provides clean, human-readable URLs that users can bookmark or type into the browser address bar. Developers can reference the friendly URLs (e.g.: http://myportal.com/portal/server.pt/community/my_community/community_page/) instead of generating opener links.
Friendly URLs can contain object IDs so that they are unaffected by object name modifications. However, friendly URLs do not require the object ID, so they are easy for users to type into the address bar.
Friendly URLs are visible when browsing:
- Communities
- Knowledge Directory folders and documents
- My Pages
- User profile pages
Note: The URLs supported in previous version are still supported in this version.
Adaptive Layouts for UI Customization
AquaLogic Interaction 6.5 provides support for adaptive layouts, which enable customers to easily customize the user interface for AquaLogic Interaction. Adaptive layouts are simple XHTML templates that use adaptive tags that AquaLogic Interaction interprets to render the UI. Experience definitions enable customers to define which adaptive page layouts to use. Customers can now modify the majority of the AquaLogic Interaction UI without having to: use an IDE, recompile, or redeploy AquaLogic Interaction. Customers can move from developing layouts in HTML to deploying them in AquaLogic Interaction with minimal effort. The following adaptive layouts are available:
- Base page layouts (for everything surrounding the content area, such as header, footer, banner, and navigation)
- Profile page layouts (for everything surrounding the content area in user profile pages, such as header, footer, banner, and navigation)
- Knowledge Directory layouts (for the content area of the Knowledge Directory)
- Search results layouts (for the content area of basic and advanced search results)
- Portlet selection layouts (for the flyout editor used to select portlets on My Pages and community pages)
- Portlet layouts (for the column layout for the content area (where portlets are placed) and the look of portlets (the borders and portlet toolbar) in My Pages, profile pages, and community pages)
- Header and footer portlets (previously available in 6.1 as well)
Updated Browsing User Interface
AquaLogic Interaction 6.5 provides a significantly improved browsing UI. The default look and feel has been modernized and to more closely align with our recent PEP (Pathways, Ensemble, Pages) products. The following areas have been heavily modified:
- Communities
- My Pages
- Knowledge Directory
- Search results pages
- User profile pages
Key Usability Enhancements
AquaLogic Interaction 6.5 provides an improved end-user experience. Several hard-to-accomplish, day-to-day, end-user tasks have been made much easier:
- One-click My Page creation
- One-click community page creation
- One-click community join/unsubscribe
- One-click portlet removal
- Flyout editor for modifying community pages and My Pages
- Right-click "Save As" from the Knowledge Directory
Improved RSS Integration
AquaLogic Interaction 6.5 provides improved integration and output of RSS:
- RSS crawling: the web content crawler now understands RSS feeds
- RSS portlets: users can display RSS feeds in portlets on My Pages or community pages
- RSS consumption of AquaLogic Notification Service feeds (from Collaboration)
- Per-user activity stream includes an RSS output
Additional Infrastructure Enhancements
AquaLogic Interaction 6.5 provides several key enhancements to the underlying infrastructure, installation experience, and supported platforms:

- Experience definitions are always reloaded from cache even if they are modified. (Issue #55328 )
- Request to increase ExpressionCache cache size. (Issue #63831 )
- This request is for all ALUI products. Please change the installer to provide full summary info including server names, ports, and database information selected on the final summary screen before actually starting the installation process. The summary info now displayed is only marginally useful. Providing a full summary would allow a final inspection of all selected/input values before beginning the install. (Issue #62804 )
- Snapshots always shows the link 'more...' even if there are no other items to display. (Issue #56016 )
- Snapshot Query Portlet: "more..." link even if all results are displayed. (Issue #54598 )
- Update the online help with better examples of how to use Snapshot Query groupings. (Issue #56688 )
- A change in ALUI 6.1 MP1 guest user login handling causes poor portal performance under scenarios of high-volume guest user login traffic. (Issue #64401 )
- Alter the cascading security feature to allow the facility to cascade settings to child objects to a specific group of portal users or remove the feature completely. (Issue #53061 )
- Default primary language in the properties and name is always English. This should take user's locale language. (Issue #48562 )
- Group Object Editor has pagination set to 1000. If a group has tons of uses, it creates a heavy load to display it. Customer wants to set configurable value for the number of users in the group and reduce the heavy load. (Issue #54117 )
- When viewing the list of dynamic users in the Group Editor that it does not load passed 1000 rows returned. (Issue #53599 )
- Trying to view a very large group (1,000,000 members) causes the portal to crash. (Issue #43496 )

- Gateway error when creating community links portlet using the IDK. (Issue #64553 )
- Experience definitions based on community IDs ignored when accessing gatewayed links to intrinsic portlet preferences. (Issue #53549 )
- Rendering a link, in a custom portlet, to the portal page which contains an executable JS code in the page's title, executes the script. The portal should not allow 1. JS code to be placed into the page title and/or 2. the portal should skip any code in the page title. (Issue #63210 )
- Allow the ability to sort by portlet name in the Add Portlets display page. (Issue #55073 )
- Give user the ability to turn the portlet border on/off at the portlet level. (Issue #55161 )

- Multiple alternate virtual directories are not accessible in 6.1.1.1 .NET as they were in 6.1.0.1 .NET. (Issue #64930 )
- In version 5.01 the portlet title used to have an anchor region which was named the same as the portlet ID. This has disappeared in 5.0.4 (Issue #47339 )
- Give user the control of the portlet borders in the same way that you can turn off/on the banner in the portlet config. (Issue #47538 )
- Manually submitting a web page with a non-standard charset to the Knowledge Directory of a .NET 6.1MP1 portal fails. (Issue #62968 )
- Best bet results get cleared after executing a search update when there is more than one best bet which contains part of the name of the first best bet. (Issue #59772 )
- PT_PROPERTY_DOCUMENT_ID field is being indexed as a float and so only has 23 bits of precision. (Issue #61476 )
- OBJECT LAST MODIFIED date is put into the Search Index as local time when it should be UTC. (Issue #62871 )
- Search query server will not start after doing a replicate restore due to a missing mappings.archive.deadlist file caused by existence of a mappings.custom.xml file in the shared folder (copy of index). (Issue #63461 )
- Snapshot queries only seem to sort on the first 4 chars when sorting alphabetically. Could this be changed so is sorts by the entire name? (Issue #41774 )
- All Collab objects returned by Search are represented by the alarm clock icon. (Issue #56945 )
- Integer (Simple Number) value in the result of snapshot query is different from the value entered, and the sorting result is not right. (Issue #55133 )
- The Search Cluster Manager allows the administrator to schedule cluster checkpoint operations. Once a checkpoint schedule has been established, you may change the schedule using the same user interface, however there is no facility in the user interface to completely turn off scheduled checkpoints. To completely remove a scheduled checkpoint, you may edit the cluster.ini file, found in the cluster home directory. Find the line with the parameter RF_CHECKPOINT_SCHEDULE and comment it out with a '#' character or delete it completely. (Issue #58443)
- Request ability to specify NIC/IP on which the search node runs. (Issue #58545 )
- A scheduled checkpoint occurs an hour before scheduled time and then a second checkpoint will run at scheduled time. (Issue #64683 )
- When run in "repair" mode the Search Update Agent causes the NTCWS component to leak kernel object handles. If the repair operation is being used to rebuild a large search collection (a common practice), the size of this leak (40k+) can cause system instability. (Issue #56638 )
- You can still get search results for Publisher templates as a guest user even though guest user has no access, if you have the search link. (Issue #67047 )
- If network communication errors happen between search nodes during certain phases of the repartitioning process, the nodes may be left in an inconsistent state. The expected state after a successful repartition is that all nodes transition into RUN mode on the new topology. The expected state after a failed repartition is that all nodes transition back into RUN mode on the previous (non-repartitioned) topology. If the nodes end up in a persistent STALL, READONLY, or STANDBY state, you will need to revert to the previous topology with the following steps:
1) Check that the cluster.nodes file reflects the previous (non-repartitioned) topology. If it does not, edit it manually so that it does.
2) Issue a SOFTRESET to the cluster using the CAdmin tool. > cadmin softreset -cluster_home. (Issue #55082)
- When indexing a large document set, the Search Cluster UI may display somewhat misleading information in the 'Document Load' bar. Under some circumstances, the 'Document Load' value may be displayed over 100%. This should not be considered an indication of any problem with the Search Cluster. (Issue #58042)
- A user with only Access Administration and the Create Users activity rights is able to disable/enable other user objects via the Default Profiles manager utility. (Issue #58020 )
- Cross-site request forgery vulnerability reported by multiple customers. (Issue #64325 )
- When in Sec Mode 3 the login portlet redirects to a HTTP link instead of HTTPS. (Issue #58044 )
- When configured to use multiple URL mappings in conjunction with security mode 3, the portal will erroneously redirect the user to the proxied URL after login due to session timeout if a custom login portlet is used instead of the default login space. (Issue #64675 )
- My Page refresh generates an incorrect portal base URL when using a proxy or SSL accelerator. (Issue #63169 )
- The portal gateway does not appear to properly handle jsxml calls when the session times out and SSO is enabled on the portal. (Issue #62714 )
- Give user the ability for our login page to work with IE's autocomplete feature for the username and password. This request was made because IE's autocomplete works in Portal 4.5.x, but no longer works in G6. (Issue #52709 )
- While running against DB2 9.5, loginname or groupname managed by ALUI Directory cannot contain apostrophe. (issue# 65896)
- Using document.formname.submit() in a portlet with a web service, and inline refresh is selected... causes a javascript error: Error: uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open. (Issue #63631 )
- Using the opener link in 5.x or the normal navigation in 6x you have the ability to view the "edit" page of any community regardless of security. (Issue #63632 )
- Stack traces should be configurable so by default they are not displayed in the HTML as comments. (Issue #64494 )
- The size of a blank page within AquaLogic Interaction is very large in size and takes a long time to load in the browser. (Issue #49304 )
- When using ptdata:mypageactiondata tag, if the user has no My Pages, this tag will still construct links that causes error pages and other errors to show up. (Issue #64501 )
- pt:standard.pagename tag throws null pointer error in the background when the user does not have a My Page. (Issue #64479 )
- Create a tag that would build a breadcrumb trail for communities. (Issue #63959 )
- pt:ptdata.joincurrcommunitydata pt:id="yojoin" - creates an "object not found error" when you click the join link on a community you are not yet a member of. (Issue #56991 )
- pt:ptdata.genericurl ..pt:ptimage="..." image when loaded by an adaptive nav tag gets cut off so it doesn't fully load 100% of the image like it should. (Issue #54639 )
- pt:ptdata.deletemypagedata appears in nav tag even if on main My Page. (Issue #57668 )
- ptui.myaccount tag doesn't work, throws error when in guest user Edit profile page. (Issue #65498 )
- User Information data "Available to User Profile" isn't returned when inline refresh is executed. (Issue #66477 )
- Implemented a navigation PT Tag retrieving all levels of subcommunities for each and every subcommunity in the subcommunity tree for a current community. (Issue #62627 )
- OnBeforeLogin fails to redirect from HTTP to HTTPS with a gateway type request URL. (Issue #63116 )
- When a user deletes a document link for a locked file, the error message is not displayed in portal window. It is output to the logging files only. (Issue #58004 )
- pt:plugnav.horizontalrowcontainermenu container tag will accept pt:ptdata.editcommunitydata tag. (Issue #62856 )
- Class: com.plumtree.taskapi.portaluiTaskAPIUICommunity: the doc needs to be updated to reflect the actual exception being thrown. (Issue #64448 )
- When selecting portal-ready navigation in portal, it still embeds PTPortalMenus.js and PTPMMenu.css into the portlet nav, want an option to not do this. (Issue #62719 )
- Give user the ability to remove the 10px spacer gif between portlet columns without having to change the UI source code. (Issue #62050 )
- Publishing an MS Office file content item from Publisher to the Knowledge Directory always results in a item with the file cabinet icon. (Issue #58188 )
- When an administrative folder containing users is copied, all objects except for users will be copied. There is no warning or error message. Users cannot be copied.
(Issue# 20116)
- When using an invitation that has a default profile set to Assistive Technology mode, the user may or may not get an Assistive Technology UI.
(Issue# 36240)
- Submission of NT crawler web service documents does not work when using Netscape 7.1 in Assistive Technology mode.
(Issue# 36907)
- 508: My Page: Edit Page: Mandatory portlets not listed.
(Issue# 42952)
- The General Information Portlet in users' profiles may not be visible in 508 mode.
(Issue# 44996)
- In 508 mode, the RSS Community Reader portlet having multiple feeds will not be refreshed with the new content when a new feed is selected from the drop-down list. The work-around is to refresh the page.
(Issue# 67499)
- Under certain conditions, if two automation servers share the same admin folder, contention for the jobs within the folder can lead to the failure of one of the automation servers.
(Issue# 63240)
- A SharePoint crawler may fail to import all SharePoint artifacts on configurations under high load (e.g. systems with multiple BEA products installed on a single server). Install the components on multiple servers or reduce the maximum indexing threads in the crawler settings to a value <3 to address.
(Issue# 63606)
- If a community manager does not have the right to Select a portlet on a page (but can Read), and the manager moves that portlet, that portlet will disappear from the community.
(Issue# 63063)
- When editing a community page that contains portlets that have been inherited from a template, the "Remove" link for the portlets which are inherited through the page template will be displayed even though these portlets cannot be removed.
(Issue# 66123)
- Attempting to edit the user profile community opens the user object editor instead. The work-around is to use the User Profile Manager utility available from the Administrative Portal.
(Issue# 67732)
- LDAP & AD Sync jobs should not be run concurrently on DB2.
(Issue# 67400)
- RSS Crawler: RSSContentTypesAndProperties.pte does not create Feed Title property.
(Issue# 67520)
- Legacy items with status=1 in PTCARDSTATUS and with string date format throw exceptions and don't get reindexed.
(Issue# 66653)
- When crawling documents into folders with filters and selecting both Refresh and Try to Sort into Additional Folders in the "When visiting previously imported documents" section, the taxonomization doesn't work. If Refresh is not selected, sorting works.
(Issue# 54478)
- A core dump in the middle of the crawl will render that crawl "unrunnable". To make this crawl runnable again delete the corresponding "lock" record from the ptobjectlocks table in the database. DELETE FROM PTOBJECTLOCKS WHERE OBJECTID=crawlid AND CLASSID=602. The crawler ID comes from the crawler properties page and the class ID for a running crawler instance is 602.
(Issue# 59450)
- "Show only item type" drop-down list gets wrapped when the browser width is not wide enough in non-English European languages. (Happens in FireFox only.)
(Issue# 67387)
- In some cases, content crawled in from AquaLogic Publisher may not display properly when viewed from the Knowledge Directory. The possible workarounds are: republish the item, manually publish the document to the Knowledge Directory, or use the Web Crawler to crawl publisher content instead. (issue #68077)
- The Online Help in Assistive Technology mode is in English only, regardless of the user's locale settings.
(Issue# 37245)
- Modifying a job's start time from a locale other than the one it was created under may cause the am/pm flag to revert back to its original setting. Workaround: delete the job and re-create under the current user's locale.
(Issue# 53502)
- Attempting to rename a page and then browse for a portlet will cause the page name to revert to the original name.
(Issue# 67451)
- If adaptive layouts are disabled on a page that previously used them, you might end up with a wide portlet in a narrow portlet region. Attempting to move the portlets using the classic page editor UI in Internet Explorer will cause JavaScript error. Workaround: use FireFox to modify the page layout or re-enable adaptive layouts to move the portlet.
(Issue# 66572)
- Adaptive layouts used in conjunction with legacy navigation schemes can cause JavaScript errors on My Pages and community pages when browsed with IE 7. Adaptive layouts come with a new drop-down menu framework that is lighter and faster than jsmenus. Use the new adaptive layout menu framework to avoid this problem.
(Issue# 66384)
- The new drop-down menus are only suitable for approximately 30 communities. Beyond this number, it becomes difficult to navigate the list. The suggested work-around is to either replace the menus with custom menus, or use the classic drop-down menus.
(Issue# 67540)
- Importing migration packages is very slow when the Search Server is unavailable.
(Issue# 66938)
- LDAP authentication source cannot be exported with custom groups mappings.
(Issue# 59243)
- The content upload service requires the document repository service to be running before starting.
(Issue# 56575)
- There is a leak in IE when calling setRefreshInterval() or refresh() on a portlet. There is no memory leak in Firefox when calling the same methods. A workaround is to call PTPortlet.getPortletByID($$TOKEN$$).clearRefreshInterval();
before the call to setRefreshInterval.
(Issue# 62962)
- Content Crawler Editor, Advanced Settings page: Runtime Configuration is not maintained if you leave page and come back to it.
(Issue# 57068)
- Can't delete existing Knowledge Directory folder description. Only way to alter this value is to change it to another non-null string. The workaround is to just enter a space.
(Issue# 55842)
- If all nodes are down, opening a crawler editor takes a while.
(Issue# 54973)
- Clicking "next" in the Job Histories Intrinsic Portlet in Low Bandwidth Portal mode refreshes the page but does not show you the next group of jobs.
(Issue# 36378)
- Delete Everyone READ from Administrative Resources folder and apply the security settings to all child objects. This operation causes portal startup error.
(Issue# 58593)
- Using the "inline refresh" option in the gateway configuration of a web service that uses the Web Controls Consumer (WCC) will cause the portlet to fail.
(Issue# 66408)
- In the User Information Property Map when using MS SQL Server, multi mapped properties values are displayed in separate rows in the mapping table.
(Issue# 63807)
- Transformer/Tag Engine adds CSAPI JavaScript to wrong place if <head> tag has a JavaScript variable such as: var myVar = '<head>test</head>';.
(Issue# 59707)
- Malformed URLs can cause exceptions when the portal tries to transform them, resulting in a crashed portal page. For example, a portlet with an href containing the following invalid URL (the port is in the wrong place) will cause a server error: http://people:80.bea.com/portal/server.pt/ . (Issue # 68200)
- Search fails to start if the cluster home is specified as the root of a NAS share. Create a subfolder under the root and use this as the cluster home.
(Issue# 62397)
- Copying a saved query portlet will unlink it from the original snapshot query.
(Issue# 58282)
- After changing the search cluster contact node in the Search Service Manager, you must restart all Portal, Automation Server, and API Server instances in order for the new settings to take effect.
(Issue# 55808)
- Search results for Publisher items no longer include the "View Associated Portlets and Communities" link.
(Issue# 67227)
- User can see the cursor in the Search text box blinking through the drop-down menu.
(Issue# 66908)
- Accent characters entered into in the "Search saved as:" name are not encoded properly and may appear with & and ; characters when displaying confirmation.
(Issue# 67319)
- Clicking 'Create Page' link on a My Page or community page may create a warning message when using the Logging Spy utility. This error can be ignored.
(Issue# 67707)
- Using the Experience Definition Editor may generate the following warning message in Logging Spy: "ExpListView::Getting unused properties not supported by model SelectPTObject ." This warning can safely be ignored.
(Issue# 67755)
- With SSO enabled, accessing a gatewayed URL in a new window will cause a redirect problem to occur and return a 401.
(Issue# 66863)
- Deleting a lockbox and creating a new lockbox without finishing the delete will cause the deleted lockbox entries to remain in the database. To avoid the issue click finish immediately after deleting a lockbox. Modifying the value of name in PTPROPERTIES can be safe as workaround if this problem has already been encountered.
(Issue# 58057)
- The JVM on HPUX-IA64 tends to aggressively consume and fragment memory. At the same time, the default kernel parameters limit the data segment size to 1GB by default. The combination of these factors can lead to out-of-memory errors. This can affect any Java process, particularly those which use the search client, which include Portal, Automation Server, Collaboration Server and Publisher. We recommend increasing the maximum data segment size to at least 2GB. This can be done using the kctune or sam tools. For instance: /usr/sbin/kctune maxdsiz=2147483648. If memory usage continues to be a problem, it may be necessary to tune the Java heap parameters. In order to minimize heap fragmentation, it is best to set the initial and maximum heap parameters to the same value. For instance -Xms 320m -Xmx 320m.
(Issue# 57256)
- The Search Server index directory and cluster request directory should be excluded from virus scanning, as indicated in product documentation. Under certain circumstances a node may crash if a virus scanner interferes with file I/O. If the cluster directory gets corrupted, the 6.5 version of examine archive can be used to test and repair it. To test the cluster directory, invoke "examinearchive -requests ". If this test shows errors in the cluster directory, invoke "examinearchive -repair -requests ".
(Issue# 57858)
- The indexing pipeline can become deadlocked when multiple nodes are installed on the same windows box. Redeploying the nodes on separate boxes should resolve the issue. Further details below. Symptoms: Crawls succeed but documents never become searchable. Diagnosis: 1) Crawl job logs will contain messages like the following: "FullySerializeCards caught an exception indexing cards in the property search collection: com.plumtree.server.marshalers.PTException: -2147204349 - Error in function PTIndexer.CommitAll (): -2147204349 - Failover failed -- no servers left to accept request." 2) Search Cluster Manager will show all nodes in "RUN", "STALL", or "RECOVER" state, not "OFFLINE" or "READONLY" 3) Search Server logs will contain tags with the following text: Index connection queue backlog exceeds maximum Analysis: The search cluster is in a deadlocked state where it cannot accept indexing requests. Queries are unaffected. The deadlock is due to contention over a lock file which one of the nodes is holding and not releasing. Resolution: The problem can be temporarily resolved by restarting the search nodes one at a time. When the node holding the lock is restarted, the lock will be released and indexing requests can be accepted once more. Following the node recovery, run Search Repair to resubmit any indexing requests that may have failed during the outage.
(Issue# 56305)
- Sometimes sending an abort during a named restore puts the cluster in an unpredictable state. A soft-reset should be executed after initiating named restore.
(Issue# 55035)
- By default, searches on properties with no value are returned as a "0". This can cause unexpected results when using ascending sorting.
(Issue# 65273)
- An interruption in access to the cluster directory will cause search servers running on Windows to crash. On Unix, the servers will successfully transition to read-only, where they will remain until an administrator requests it to transition back using 'cadmin runlevel run'.
(Issue# 63074)
- The ptverify.sh / ptverify.bat script may give a false warning that AquaLogic Interaction is unable to start when any custom tag library is loaded.
(Issue# 66546)
- The Portal Diagnostic Tool will not work in Java when you create and register a custom tag library.
(Issue# 53063)
- Reference-type properties are read-only in the User Profile Editor in Assistive Technology mode.
(Issue# 36042)
- If the Search component is missing from the AquaLogic Interaction license key, both the diagnostic tool and the application server will display a warning stating, "Missing, invalid, or expired license for AquaLogic Interaction Grid Search-6.1-Search. The search functionality has been disabled." This message can be ignored. If the Search component is missing from the AquaLogic Interaction key, Search will be limited to 2 nodes.
(Issue# 60468)
- Reading a string field from an IPortalSearchResult converts a full width number to a half width number. The value is stored correctly in the DB, and is returned correctly using IDocumentProperties.
(Issue# 51243)
- The old portal configuration management tool is not removed on upgrades from 6.0 or 6.1. Using this tool will cause a "ptconfig.exe Error in Java launcher. Cannot find main Java class com/plumtree/configmanager/Runner" error. Workaround: use the new Configuration Manager web UI instead.
(Issue# 67318)
- In the Configuration Manager, the setting for administrative credentials for the Notification Service are not optional, even though they are listed as such.
(Issue# 67758)
- The default timezone offset setting of -1 should be used in the Configuration Manager, as this sets AquaLogic Interaction to use the timezone of the server.
(Issue# 67809)
- The Phone Home feature in the Configuration Manager is not supported for use by customers unless directed to do so by customer support. (Issue #68098)
- Flyout editor changes vertical height when browsing folders.
(Issue# 66697)
- Misspelling portal/server.pt on Win/.NET may force AquaLogic Interaction into a redirection loop. This can be fixed by changing the default value in friendlyurl.xml to .pt/.
(Issue# 67810)
- On AIX with WebSphere 6.1.0.13, you cannot stop/start the application via the Web Console UI. WebSphere modifies the object name when it registers it with the JMX server. Consequently applications which try to detect the existence of a registered name using the name they originally provided will fail since the registration is under a different name. See http://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/SM-883
(Issue# 67368)
- LD_ASUME_KERNEL setting causes PTUPLOAD and PTWS services to fail. Workaround: Set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL parameter to 2.4.1 in wrapper.conf file.
(Issue# 67578)
- When starting AquaLogic Interaction in a WebLogic 10 environment, the following error may be written to the log file. This error can be ignored: Failed to load servlet Class: com.plumtree.gateway.GatewayConfigServletIgnoring: unable to load class:java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.plumtree.gateway.GatewayConfigServlet at: weblogic.xml.schema.binding.util.ClassUtil.loadClass(ClassUtil.java:76)Failed to load servlet Class: com.plumtree.gateway.GatewayConfigServletIgnoring: unable to load class:java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.plumtree.gateway.GatewayConfigServlet at: weblogic.xml.schema.binding.util.ClassUtil.loadClass(ClassUtil.java:76) ****** Initializing filter BinaryGatewayFilter ******
(Issue# 66018)
- The dbupgradetool.bat may hang on duplicate records in the PTMYPAGEPREFS table. Workaround: remove duplicate records before running the dbupgradetool.
(Issue# 53509)
- The installer may garble the names of the "Server Side Includes" and "Intern Data Connector" web extensions. You can use MetaEdit to change the name back to the original names.
(Issue# 54147)
- On HP-UX, if you set the location where the installer unpacks files from /tmp to another location (this can be done by setting IATEMPDIR environment variable to a directory) the installer will still use approximately 90MB of space from /tmp. There is no workaround. Simply clear out at least 90MB of space from /tmp and shut down any processes on the server that may also be using space on /tmp before running installer.
(Issue# 58874)
- Sometimes during re-installations of all AquaLogic Interaction installer components, the installer will hang. The hang always occurs when the installer is performing post-installation steps deploying the Image Service. To locate the hanging process, run "ps ?eaf | grep jre142". This should show at least one process running jre142/bin/IA64N/java in your installation directory. Kill this process and let the installer run to completion. The installer will properly install everything except the Image Service. Run the installer again and choose only the "Image Service" for installation. The installer should run to completion without hanging and properly install the Image Service.
(Issue# 58954)
- Some products install conflicting versions of icu 3.0 into \Windows\system32. When conflicting versions of icu are loaded before the version distributed with the search client, the portal will fail to start up, and ptverify will report errors. The problem can be resolved by searching for and removing icu*30.dll from \Windows\system32. Products with known conflicts include Crystal Reports XI, WebEx, and possibly other web client software.
(Issue# 56359)
- The installer may take longer to complete the installation than indicated by the status bar.
(Issue# 57235)
- The most recent dropped portlet in a portlet region is selected when trying to drag a mandatory portlet. This occurs only after dropping a portlet in the same region as the mandatory portlet.
(Issue# 66758)
- Classic UI has been deprecated
- UI Customization Installer has been removed
