You must have the Set User Preferences capability for the Pathways Preferences page to be visible. The Pathways Preferences page lets you configure settings for the display of tags, results, and other aspects of Pathways' search pages and portlets.
At any time, you can click Restore Defaults to return your preferences to the default settings that are currently specified in Pathways' administrative settings. Administrators specify the defaults that appear on this page by using the Defaults page.
Click Save to keep any changes that you have made. If you have made changes but have not yet clicked Save, you can click Cancel to restore the previously-saved settings.
You must have the Access Enhanced UI capability for the View Options area to be visible. Select the check box if you want to view your search results in Enhanced Mode, which lets you save searches, view tag clouds, and sort search results, among other features.
Note: Enhanced Mode might not be compatible with older browsers.
Tag Display Options
Select the check box if you want automatically-generated tags to appear in Pathways. Your administrator defines the rules for creating auto-tags. Administrators manage auto tagging on the Auto Tags page.

Choose the maximum number of popular and related tags that you want displayed on the Search page, Items tab, People tab, Pathways Items portlet, and Pathways People portlet. |
Results per page |
Choose the maximum number of search results that you want displayed on each page of the search results on the Items tab, People tab, Pathways Items portlet, and Pathways People portlet. |
Result Types
Select the object types that you want to include in your search results in the Items tab and Pathways Items portlet.
Note: If you do not have access to the Pathways Items portlet, this setting only changes the display of result types on the Items tab.
Pathways determines the User objects to display by employing the same method used for displaying all other items. User objects are not people as defined by Pathways; only people (displayed on the People tabs and Pathways People portlet) can be considered subject matter experts. For more information on how Pathways determines subject matter experts, see Analysis Sample Size.
Activity Stream
Select which actions you want to display in your Activity Stream. Other users can then view these actions and their details when they view your User Profile page or subscribe to your user feed.
The following table describes what displays in your Activity Stream for each action:

Tagging Items |
Who applied the tag, the name of the tag, and the name of the item to which the tag was applied. |

Who applied the tag, the name of the tag, and the name of the person to which the tag was applied. |
Modifying Favorites |
Who added the object, the name of the object added, and the list of favorites to which the object was added. |
Modifying Contacts |
Who added the contact, the name of the contact added, and the list of contacts to which the person was added. |
For more information on Activity Streams, see the online help for AquaLogic Interaction.
Scores
Select the check box to display the relevancy score and ActivityRank of each item and person in your search results.
Items and People Tabs (Simple Mode): When the check box is selected, Pathways displays the relevancy score and ActivityRank for each item and person.
Items and People Tabs (Enhanced Mode): When the check box is selected, Pathways displays the relevancy score for each item and person. Scores are rounded to the nearest two decimal points (for example, the score of 3.87635 is rounded to 3.88). You can hover your mouse over an item or person's score to view its non-rounded relevancy score and ActivityRank.
Pathways Items and Pathways People Portlets: When the check box is selected, Pathways displays the relevancy score and ActivityRank for each item and person.
