Add Properties to a Repository Connection

If needed you can add custom properties to your repository connection.

For example, custom properties are used to connect to third-party repositories and filesystem repositories. For more information about repositories, see the Repositories Guide on BEA's edocs page.

To add properties to a repository:

  1. In the Repository Resource tree, right-click the repository to which you want to add properties, and select Edit Repository.
  2. In the Manage Repository tab, click Add Property.
  3. Define the property you are adding. Use the following table for guidance.
  4.

For this Field: Enter This Information:
Key The key (name) of the property. For example, if you are creating a filesystem repository, the Key (name) of the property should be cm_fileSystem_path.
Value Enter the property value you would like to use.

  5. Click Add Property.
  6. Add as many properties as you want for this repository, using the above steps.
  7. When finished, select the repository within the Resource Tree to view a summary of the repository.
