Make Portal Resources Available in the Weblogic Administration Portal

Portals and portal resources are most often developed elsewhere and made available for you to manage in the WebLogic Administration Portal. To see the resource in the Portal Resources tree and access its properties, the portal must first be "made available" to the WebLogic Administration Portal. To see an available portal in the Administration Portal, you must have Delegated Administration rights.

To make portal resources available in the WebLogic Administration Portal:

  1. In the Portal Management tools, use the Portal Web Application pull-down list (just above the Portal Resources tree) to select a Web application.

Note: If you do not know which Web application to choose, consult with the developer who created the portal you are trying to expose.

  1. Select the Portals folder in the Portal Resources tree.
  2. Click Create New Portal in the Editor pane.
  3. Fill in the Web application properties. Use the table below for guidance.
  4. Click Save. Look for the new portal and portal resources in the Portals folder.
