Target Store-and-Forward agents to servers

You can choose the server, cluster, or migratable target in your domain on which you would like to deploy a Store-and-Forward (SAF) agent. You can also reconfigure deployment targets later if you wish.

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left panel of the console, expand Services > Messaging and select Store-and-Forward Agents.
  3. On the Store-and-Forward Agents page, select the SAF agent that you want to assign to a server, cluster, or migratable target.

A dialog displays in the right pane showing the tabs associated with the SAF agent.

  4. Select the Targets tab to display the following targeting options.
    1. Independent Servers -- Select a server or servers where the SAF agent will be deployed. The SAF agent will be available on all the selected servers.
    2. Clusters -- Select a cluster where the SAF agent will be deployed. The SAF agent will be available on all servers in the selected cluster. You can also target an individual server or servers within a cluster.
    3. Migratable Targets -- Select a WebLogic Server migratable target where the SAF agent will be deployed. When WebLogic Server is first booted, the SAF agent is initially available only on the user-preferred server. After that, the SAF agent can be migrated to another server listed in the migratable target.
  5. Select a target on which to deploy the SAF agent.
  6. Click Save.
  7. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
