Access Administrative resources

Before you begin

This subtask is part of the main task for creating a security policy. Start with the main task: Create security policies

Security policies for administrative resources apply to all administrative resources in the WebLogic domain, including the WebLogic Server Administration Console, the WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST), and MBean APIs.

    2. On the settings page for the domain select Security > Policies to display the Methods tabs.
    3. Select one of the tabs representing a method to secure, for example, User Lockout.

For a description of the methods, see Administrative Operations

  2. To use the Policies table:

Note: The Policies table provides centralized access to all global and scoped security roles. For more information, see List security policies

    1. In the left panel select Security Realms.
    2. On the Security Realms Summary page select the name of the realm (for example, myrealm)
    3. On the Realm Settings page select Roles and Policies > Policies
    4. In the Policies table, expand the domain name under Domain to display a list of methods.
    5. Select the button next to one of the methods and click Create Policy.
