Before you begin

This subtask is part of the main task for creating a security policy. Start with the main task: Create security policies

Security policies for JMS application resources apply to a JMS module that has been deployed as an application.

Access policies for this resource by following either step 1 or step 2.

  1. To use the Deployments node:
    1. In the left panel, expand Deployments and select the JMS resource, for example:
    2. Expand the deployment

      Deployments > MyEAR > Modules > MyTopic-jms

    3. On the Settings page for the JMS resource, select Security > Policies to display the Policy Conditions page.
  2. To use the Policies table:

Note: The Policies table provides centralized access to all global and scoped security roles. For more information, see List security policies

    1. In the left panel select Security Realms.
    2. On the Security Realms Summary page select the name of the realm (for example, myrealm)
    3. On the Realm Settings page select Roles and Policies > Policies.

The Policies table appears. The Policies table provides central access to security policies for all WebLogic resources in the realm.

    4. In the Policies table expand Deployments and display the JMS resource, for example:

      Deployments > MyEAR > Modules > MyJMSTopic

    5. Select the radio button next to the resource and click Create Policy.

The Policy Conditions page for the resource appears.

  3. If you're creating a security policy for a particular resource, use the Methods drop-down menu to specify a method that you want to protect, or select ALL to protect all methods.
For more information, see the following depending on the JMS resource type:
  4. Return to the main task. Start at Create security policies: step 2
