Verify trap generation

Before you begin

Configure the SNMP agent to generate automatic traps or configure traps (see Use SNMP to monitor WebLogic Server).
Create trap destinations.

To verify that the WebLogic Server SNMP agent is generating and sending traps:

Expand Diagnostics and click SNMP Agent. Then configure the SNMP agent to generate non-critical debug messages.
The SNMP agent prints a noncritical debug message each time it generates a trap. See Configuration Options.
Use the java snmptrapd command to receive traps.
