This tutorial walks you through creating a web application (consisting of a single JSP file) and running it on a server. This tutorial covers the following:
- How to create a project
- How to create a JSP
- How to use the JSP editor to quickly and easily add tags and content to your page
- How to use the Design Palette view to see the artifacts available to your application
- How to run the application on a server (display the JSP in a browser)
- How to use the extended debugger to debug a JSP (set breakpoints, step through, review variable values)
This tutorial should take about fifteen minutes to complete, depending on how much time you spend exploring in the JSP editor.
This tutorial assumes that you will deploy on BEA WebLogic Server. But you can use a different server as long as it supports JSP tag libraries.
