6.1 Oracle RTD Smart Client Does Not Work With Sun Stax Parser in Java 6

This issue applies to Version 3.0.0.1 only.

The Oracle RTD Java client is known not to work with the stax implementation included in Sun Java 6.

The standard stax implementation shipped with Oracle RTD is Woodstox (wstx.jar). Users who have replaced Woodstox with the BEA parser (stax-1.2.0.jar) available in Java 6, must add the system property:

• -Djavax.xml.stream.XMLInputFactory=com.bea.xml.stream.MXParserFactory

They do not have to change code or retest the client.

Users who continue to use Woodstox do not need to do anything.
