Updating a Shift, Break, and Period of Unavailability


You can update a shift, break, and period of unavailability (POU) in your Siebel Mobile application for Siebel Field Service if you are using Siebel Real-time Scheduler Version 2.1 or later as your scheduling engine and Siebel Field Service Integration to Oracle Real-time Scheduler Version 2.1 or later integration pack for integration. You can view, start, and end a shift, break, and POU, using the Shifts tab on the application banner.

Starting or Ending a Shift

Use the following procedure to start or end a shift.

To start or end a shift

  1. Tap Shifts on the application banner.
  2. Select a record in the Shifts list.
  3. Tap Start to start a new shift, or tap Complete to end the shift.

Starting or Ending a Break

Use the following procedure to start or end a break.

To start or end a break

  1. Tap Shifts on the application banner.
  2. Select a record in the Shifts list.
  3. Tap Breaks.
  4. Select a Break record in the list.
  5. Tap Start to start a new break, or tap Complete to end the break as required.

Starting or Ending a Period of Unavailability

Use the following procedure to start or end a period of unavailability (POU).

To start or end a period of unavailability

  1. Tap Shifts on the application banner.
  2. Select a record in the Shifts list.
  3. Tap POU.
  4. Select a POU record in the list.
  5. Tap the Edit icon.
  6. Change the status as required.
  7. Tap Save.
