Updating Room Blocks for a Quote

Room blocks are transferred from the opportunity to the quote when the quote is generated, but this information can be updated at the quote stage if necessary. You can add new room blocks at this stage. The Room Blocks view also allows you to start availability and pricing checks.

This task is a step in Managing Event Room Block Information in Quotes.

To update room blocks for a quote

1. Navigate to the Quotes screen, then the List view.
2. In the Quotes list, query for and select the quote.
3. In the Quote record, click the link in the Quote # field, and then click the Room Blocks view tab.
4. In the Room Blocks list, add new records or modify existing records as needed.
5. In each room block record that you add or modify, update the sleeping room tax-related and service charge-related fields if necessary.

   Some fields are described in the following table.

   Field	Comments
   Tax Inclusive	When selected, indicates that the sleeping room rate includes tax. This applies to all room block line items associated with the room block.
   Service Charge Inclusive	When selected, indicates that the sleeping room rate includes a service charge. This applies to all room block line items associated with the room block.

6. Complete the other fields as required.
7. (Optional) Drill down on the room block Name field.

   Siebel Hospitality displays the Room Block screen, where you can further define or modify the room block.
