Configuring High Interactivity for Siebel PRM

The Siebel PRM Manager supports high interactivity.

The Siebel PRM Portal supports both standard interactivity and high interactivity. The default is standard interactivity. Configure the PRM Portal to use high interactivity only if you are sure that your partners use Web browsers that support it. For more information about high interactivity and standard interactivity and the browsers used for each, see Using Siebel Tools.

NOTE:  This section does not apply to Siebel Partner Portal Open UI as Siebel Partner Portal Open UI supports high interactivity by default.

To configure the Siebel PRM Portal to use high interactivity

1. Use any text editor to open the configuration file for the Siebel PRM Portal, which is installation directory\siebsrvr\bin\lang\scw.cfg.
2. Add the following lines to the [SWE] section of scw.cfg:

   HighInteractivity = True

   ShowWriteRecord=TRUE

In addition to the configuration file, responsibilities are used to display the calendar on the Siebel PRM Portal home page for high interactivity and standard interactivity:

• To display the calendar for high interactivity, use the view HI Activity Calendar View.
• To display the calendar for standard interactivity, use the views Calendar Daily View, Calendar Monthly View, and Calendar Weekly View.

By default, all partner responsibilities include the views that display the calendar for standard interactivity. If you configure the Siebel PRM Portal for high interactivity, you must modify all partner responsibilities by deleting these views and adding the view that displays the calendar for standard interactivity.
