Updating the CRC Parameter

If you are using a security adapter, then you might have to update the value of the CRC parameter after installing Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.11 or version 8.2.2.4 or later as a patch installation (migration installation). The value must reflect the checksum value applicable to the security adapter library file, such as a DLL file on Microsoft Windows.

This task might be necessary if you previously determined to use checksum validation for your security adapter deployment, and set the value of the CRC parameter. If a Siebel CRM release that you installed later as a patch installation (migration installation) included an updated security adapter library file, then checksum validation fails and Siebel Web Clients might not start.
