Release 8.3.5
E18742-01
October 2010
Oracle® Outside In Transformation Server provides an alternative means of controlling Outside In, by supplying a runtime environment that manages file-export operations in processes that execute independently of your application.
Release 8.3.5 of Oracle® Outside In Transformation Server supports the following new features:
The updated list of supported formats is posted at:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/content-management/oit/oit_all.html.
A new SOAP option, fileAccess, is a string array that is used for storing passwords. It supplies information to OIT that is required to open an input file. This information may be the password of the file or a support file location. This is used for DASetFileAccessCallback. For C, the TS_stringArray (SOAP equivalent: stringList) is used with the fileAccess option. It is an array of UTF-8 strings. (HTML Export, Image Export, PDF Export, Search Export, XML Export)
A new option, SCCOPT_REORDERMETHOD (SOAP equivalent: reorderMethod), has been added to enable reordering of bidirectional text. This can be one of the following values:
SCCUT_REORDER_UNICODE_OFF: This disables any processing for unicode characters. This option is the default.
SCCUT_REORDER_UNICODE_LTOR: Characters are reordered using the Unicode bidirectional algorithm.
SCCUT_REORDER_UNICODE_RTOL: Characters are displayed in right-to-left order.
(Image Export, PDF Export)
A new option, SCCOPT_IGNORE_PASSWORD (SOAP equivalent: ignorePassword), has been added to disable the password verification of files where the contents can be processed without validation of the password. If this option is not set, the filter should prompt for a password if it handles password-protected files. As of Release 8.3.5, only the PST Filter supports this option. (HTML Export, Image Export, PDF Export, Search Export, XML Export)
The new option SCCOPT_PARSEXMPMETADATA (SOAP equivalent: parseXMPMetaData) adds the ability to parse raw XMP (Adobe's Extensible Metadata Platform) data and convert it into normal OIT document properties. Enabling this option may cause the loss of some regular data in premium graphics filters (such as Postscript), but won't affect most formats (such as PDF). (HTML Export, Search Export, XML Export)
The option SCCOPT_WPEMAILHEADEROUTPUT (SOAP equivalent: emailHeaderOutput) has been added to control output of email headers. SCCOPT_MIMEHEADEROUTPUT has been deprecated. OIT_EmailHeaderOutputEnum (SOAP equivalent: EmailHeaderOutputEnum) takes the place of the MimeHeaderOutputEnum and is valid for the new option. The value SCCUT_WP_EMAILHEADERALL displays all available email headers, while the value SCCUT_WP_EMAILHEADERSTANDARD displays "To," "From," "Subject," "CC," "BCC," "Date Sent," and "Attachments" header fields only. The filter outputs any fields not listed above as hidden fields, so they will not display. (HTML Export, Image Export, PDF Export)
A new option, SCCOPT_SSSHOWHIDDENCELLS (SOAP equivalent: showHiddenSpreadsheetCells), lets you determine whether or not to show hidden rows or columns when rendering spreadsheets. It is used to expand the widths of cells that are hidden by virtue of having their row height or column width reduced to 0. This is a BOOLEAN option that will leave the data hidden when it is FALSE, and show all hidden rows and columns when it is TRUE, displayed using the default row width or default column height. (Image Export, PDF Export)
Search Export has expanded the information available for comments including sub-document properties and a bookmark to locate the comment in the document. You must set the SCCEX_ANNOTATIONS flag in the SCCOPT_XML_SEARCHML_FLAGS option to activate this support. When set, revised or annotated text will be designated as such. An "annotation" is a note or comment that goes along with a document, but is not really part of the document itself. Examples would be comments, footnotes, slidenotes, etc. Valid only for the SearchML 3.x output formats.
Search Export has also added the SCCEX_IND_GENERATESYSTEMMETADATA flag to the SCCOPT_XML_SEARCHML_FLAGS option to export system data. When this flag is set, system metadata will be generated. This text is "generated" and part of the document properties, so it will be affected by SCCEX_IND_GENERATED and SCCEX_IND_ SUPPRESSPROPERTIES. This information is gathered through system calls and may adversely affect performance. Valid only for the SearchML 3.x output formats.
XML Export has added the capability of exporting system metadata using the new option SCCOPT_CCFLEX_FORMATOPTIONS. When you set the CCFLEX_FORMATOPTIONS_GENERATESYSTEMMETADATA flag, system metadata will be genetated. This information is gathered through system calls and may adversely affect performance.
Our goal is to make Oracle products, services, and supporting documentation accessible to all users, including users that are disabled. To that end, our documentation includes features that make information available to users of assistive technology. This documentation is available in HTML format, and contains markup to facilitate access by the disabled community. Accessibility standards will continue to evolve over time, and Oracle is actively engaged with other market-leading technology vendors to address technical obstacles so that our documentation can be accessible to all of our customers. For more information, visit the Oracle Accessibility Program Web site at http://www.oracle.com/accessibility/
.
Accessibility of Code Examples in Documentation
Screen readers may not always correctly read the code examples in this document. The conventions for writing code require that closing braces should appear on an otherwise empty line; however, some screen readers may not always read a line of text that consists solely of a bracket or brace.
Accessibility of Links to External Web Sites in Documentation
This documentation may contain links to Web sites of other companies or organizations that Oracle does not own or control. Oracle neither evaluates nor makes any representations regarding the accessibility of these Web sites.
TTY Access to Oracle Support Services
To reach AT&T Customer Assistants, dial 711 or 1.800.855.2880. An AT&T Customer Assistant will relay information between the customer and Oracle Support Services at 1.800.223.1711. Complete instructions for using the AT&T relay services are available at http://www.consumer.att.com/relay/tty/standard2.html
. After the AT&T Customer Assistant contacts Oracle Support Services, an Oracle Support Services engineer will handle technical issues and provide customer support according to the Oracle service request process.
