NOTE: Starting with the 6.0.14
release, MetaSolv Solution no longer references a license key for product
installations. Be aware, however, that the terms of your license agreement
still apply, and it is a breach of that agreement if you use functionality that
you have not licensed. If you are an existing customer, the elimination of
the license key can alter the look or behavior of some areas of the application
that you currently use. Because of this, Oracle recommends that you take note
of your current software options prior to upgrading to M6.0.14 or higher. After
you perform the upgrade, review your software options and activate only those
you require. You can also secure new windows by following the security process
described in the online Help.
IMPORTANT: Refer to the following technical
bulletins for information that could affect your installation:
·
Prodfixsql
error—Failure to grant table creation privileges for APP_MSLV
· Prodfixsql Performance for M6.0.11
For installation
instructions, refer to the Setup Guide located on the Oracle E-Delivery
Web site. (See instructions below for how
to access documentation.)
The Setup Guide is
for individuals responsible for installing or maintaining MetaSolv Solution and
ensuring the software is operating as required. This guide assumes the
installer has an Oracle DBA and BEA administrator background, with a working
knowledge of Windows 2000 and Java J2EE. This guide also includes some
information on third-party software products used by MetaSolv Solution 6.0.16,
but is limited to information needed to install and perform initial
configuration tasks. If you need additional information on a third-party
software application, consult the documentation provided by the product's
manufacturer.
For a description of
enhancements in MetaSolv Solution 6.0.16, refer to the What's New document
on the Oracle E-Delivery Web site. (See instructions below for how to access documentation.) This
guide contains the following information for each enhancement (if applicable):
