Running the Samples

Note:    Before you can run the toolkit samples, you need to complete these steps:

1.      Install the IStream Document Manager SDK.

2.      Configure either a file system or DMS InfoSource that points to a location where there is at least one model document.

3.      Configure either a file system or DMS InfoSource where you want assembled documents, rendered PDFs, or extracted Word content to be stored.

4.      Define a macro and save it in Microsoft Word as a part of your Normal.dot template.

5.      When running the sample, enter the requested information.

UISR Examples

A UISR is an InfoSource location. The following sections give examples of a UISR.

File System UISR Example

An example of a UISR for a model document stored on a file system is:

LocalFS:ModelDocuments\SimpleVariableModel.cms

DMS UISR Example

An example of a UISR for a model document stored on the DMS is:

IDM:Samples\ModelDocuments\SimpleVariableModel\ impleVariableModel
