This figure illustrates a multinode, clustered architecture in which both the applications and the Oracle Database are managed using Oracle Clusterware for high availability. Two servers are labeled "Application/Web Servers." Both servers connect to "Oracle Net Services Single Client Access Name" which, in turn, connects to three nodes within the cluster. Each of the three nodes exchanges heartbeats with the other two.
The cluster connects to six disks that constitute the storage pool.
