When developing portlet functionality that requires access to a user's identity, you often need to map between attributes in Oracle Portal and Oracle Internet Directory, and userProfileItems
in WSRP. Note that for Oracle Portal Release 2 (10.1.4), these attributes are static and cannot be configured. This appendix provides a table that shows the mapping between various attributes.
Table C-1 provides a mapping of userProfileItems
to Oracle Internet Directory and Oracle Portal attributes.
Note: In cases where the Oracle Internet Directory attribute holds a complex string, likehomePostalAddress , it is parsed into the needed component strings. The delimiter is assumed to be the dollar sign ($) . For example, suppose you had the following value for homePostalAddress in Oracle Internet Directory:
