4 Importing and Exporting Business Unit and Company Records (Release 9.1 Update)

This chapter discusses these topics:

4.1 Business Unit and Company Import and Export Overview

Business interfaces are programs or software components that enable you to share data between JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and other external software systems. There are several business interface components that enable you to share business unit and company data between systems.

4.1.1 Business Unit Import and Export Interface Components

The following business interfaces have been created to enable data sharing of business unit data between JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and external software systems:

  • Business Unit Inbound Application program (P0006Z)

  • Use this program to manually enter records into the Business Unit Master Z File table (F0006Z2). You can also use this program to import business unit records into this table from a spreadsheet. Once records are added, you can use this program to update the records and add translation information for each record.

See Section 3.4.1.2, "Business Unit Translation."

  • Business Unit Batch Inbound program (R0006ZI)

  • Use this program to transfer records from the F0006Z2 table into the live Business Unit Master table (F0006). Once data is transferred to this table, it is available for processing in the EnterpriseOne system.

  • Business Unit Inbound Purge (R0006ZP)

  • Use this program to delete data out of the F0006Z2 table after it has been processed.

  • Company Batch Inbound program (R0010ZI)

  • Use this program to transfer records from the F0010Z table into the live Company Master table (F0010). Once data is transferred to this table, it is available for processing in the EnterpriseOne system.

  • Company Inbound Purge (R0010ZP)

  • Use this program to delete data out of the F0110Z table after it has been processed.

  • Company Batch Outbound Program (R0010ZO)

This program extracts data from the Company Constants table (F0010), and writes the data into an XML file that can be consumed by an external software system.
