Set up message type configurations in the Message Type Priority Configurations program (P34X001). This information is stored in the Planning Advisor Message Type Configuration table (F34X001).

Specify the filter criteria for a message type configuration in the Planning Advisor Summary program (P34X100). This information is stored in the Item Branch File (F4102), MPS/MRP/DRP Message File (F3411), and Item Master (F4101) tables.

Use the message counts and item/branch information in the F4102, F3411, and F4101 tables to access the Message Summary grid and chart. Then access the Item Summary grid for the items associated with the messages selected in the Message Summary grid.

From the Item Summary grid, access the Planning Advisor Console program (P34X200) by using the item/branch plant information in the Item Summary grid. Alternatively, you can access the Planning Advisor Console in standalone mode from the In-Memory Planning Advisor Operations (G3415) menu. Use the Planning Advisor Console program to review inventory and supply/demand data.

Use the inventory and supply/demand data retrieved from the F4102, F3411, and F4101 tables to access the Planning Advisor Console program (P34X200) and review supply and demand data. Supply and demand data is available in the Beginning Inventory On Hand group, Supply/Demand Details grid, Supply and Demand chart and Item Balance chart, and Informational Messages grid.

From the Planning Advisor Console, access the Critical Component Summary program (P34X260) to review critical component information. You can access either the critical component summary view or the other branch/plants view to review critical component information by parent item and the Ending Available chart.
