This figure shows the Pricing Center component, subcomponents, and what they specify. You begin with the Discount Master and define the EDR filters. This allows you to specify the EDR attributes (or discount details) required to discount the charge packet. Then define the Discount Rule (Steps and Balance Impacts). Next, the Discount Trigger allows you to specify the conditions or criteria to be met before a discount can be triggered (such as usage amount). Once this is defined, you specify which events are discounted, the discount amount, and application conditions using the Discount Model. This enables you to differentiate between models that share the same configuration, but have different validity dates. Additionally, you define the discount version, trigger, rule, and type. Finally, the Discount Object lets you define the event/discount model mapping, multiple discount handling, and validity dates.
