The --get-log
option prints the contents of the virtual machine console log files, if they exist within the file system of the virtual machine. When multiple log files exist (as a result of log-file rotation), the contents are concatenated in the old-to-new order.
Notes:
The default location of the console log messages of the virtual machine is /jrockitve/log/jrockitve.log
in the file system of the virtual machine. You can specify a different location by using the -r vm.cfg set console-log-path
command.
You can find out the current location of the console log files by using the -r vm.cfg get console-log-path
command.
If the log file is stored outside the file system of the virtual machine (say, in an NFS location), the --get-log
option does not work.
