Start WLST Recording


The Administration Console records only the actions that modify a domain's configuration document. For more information, see Record WLST Scripts.

To start recording your Administration Console actions as WLST commands, do the following:

  1. In the Change Center, click the Lock & Edit button.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • If you enabled the Automatic Recording preference, recording starts automatically when you click the Lock & Edit button. See Set Preferences for WLST Recording.
    • Click the Record button in the toolbar region at the top of the right pane of the Console.
    • Click the Preferences button in the toolbar region at the top of the right pane of the Console. Then click the WLST Script Recording tab and the Control subtab. On the Control page, click the Start Recording button.

Result

The Administration Console starts recording all actions that change the domain's configuration. As it records each command, it writes the command to the script file that you specified in your recording preferences.
