SHOW PLUGINS
SHOW PLUGINS
displays information
about server plugins. Plugin information is also available in
the INFORMATION_SCHEMA.PLUGINS
table. See
Section 20.12, “The INFORMATION_SCHEMA PLUGINS Table”.

SHOW PLUGINS
output has the
following columns:
Name
: The name used to refer to the
plugin in statements such as INSTALL
PLUGIN
and UNINSTALL
PLUGIN
.
Status
: The plugin status, one of
ACTIVE
, INACTIVE
,
DISABLED
, or DELETED
.
Type
: The type of plugin, such as
STORAGE ENGINE
or
INFORMATION_SCHEMA
.
Library
: The name of the plugin shared
object file. This is the name used to refer to the plugin
file in statements such as INSTALL
PLUGIN
and UNINSTALL
PLUGIN
. This file is located in the directory
named by the plugin_dir
system variable. If the library name is
NULL
, the plugin is compiled in and
cannot be uninstalled with UNINSTALL
PLUGIN
.
License
: How the plugin is licensed; for
example, GPL
.
For plugins installed with INSTALL
PLUGIN
, the Name
and
Library
values are also registered in the
mysql.plugin
table.

SHOW PLUGIN
was added in MySQL 5.1.5 and
renamed to SHOW PLUGINS
in 5.1.9.
SHOW PLUGIN
is deprecated as of 5.1.9 and
generates a warning, and is removed in MySQL 5.5.)
