Special Consideration for Windows
Location for OSIRUNDIR
The directory pointed to by the environment variable OSIRUNDIR contains run-time files for the OSI TP gateway. You should place this directory at some location under the HOMEPATH for the Windows User ID you use to boot Tuxedo. For example, on Windows 2008, the HOMEPATH defaults to C:\Users\userid where userid is your Windows User ID.
The recommended choice is to set OSIRUNDIR to:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\osirun
If you point OSIRUNDIR to some location that is not under your HOMEPATH, you may encounter security errors when you run the OSIADMIN command.
Note:
Using a Non-Privileged User to Run OSIADMIN
If the Windows User ID that you plan to use to run OSIADMIN is not a member of the Administrators group, then you should set the parameter AdminAccount in the tailor configuration file. If you fail to do this, then you may encounter security errors when you run the OSIADMIN command.
The documentation for the AdminAccount parameter follows.
Parameter Name: AdminAccount
Default: None
Description: The name of a Windows user or group. This name can be of the form "name" for a local user or group, or "domain\name" for a domain user or group.
In all cases, the LocalSystem account and all members of the local Administrators group will have the privilege to run OSIADMIN commands. If the AdminAccount parameter is configured in the tailor file, then the user or group specified will also have the privilege to run OSIADMIN commands.
As with all tailor parameters, the parameter setting takes effect upon the next boot of the GWOSITP process.
The AdminAccount tailor parameter only applies to a Windows system; it is ignored if specified on a Unix platform.
