B Patching the OWB Service

Following the instruction for installing OWB and integrating it with LSH in the Oracle LSH Installation Guide more than once may cause harm. If you have already installed OWB and Oracle LSH and followed the instructions for integrating the two, and then need to patch the service, do the following:

  1. Copy the patch, a single zipped file called cdr_owb_jars.zip, into the $ORACLE_HOME/owb/cdr directory.

  2. Using GNU zip or another zip utility, unzip cdr_owb_jars.zip to extract the following files:

    • cdr_owb_operators.jar

    • cdr_owb_adapters.jar

  3. Stop the OWB service. Follow instructions in the "Stopping and Starting the Oracle Warehouse Builder Service" section of the services and queues chapter of the Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub System Administrator's Guide.

  4. Restart the OWB service. Follow instructions in "Stopping and Starting the Oracle Warehouse Builder Service" section of the services and queues chapter of the Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub System Administrator's Guide.

    Note:

If you are using OWB 11.2.0.1, you must stop and start the OWB service as the user CDR_RTREPOS. If you are using OWB 11.2.0.1, you must stop and start the OWB service as the user OWBSYS.

    Note:

Information about stopping and starting the Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) Service is available in the "Job Execution Problems" section in the troubleshooting chapter of the Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub System Administrator's Guide.
