7 Setting Up Printers

Setting Up Printers Globally

Use standard Oracle Applications technology for setting up printers to work with the Oracle Life Sciences Data Hub (Oracle LSH). Information on setting up printers is included in the Oracle Applications System Administrator's Guide — Configuration.

To find this documentation, do the following:

  1. Go to the Oracle Technology Network at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/index.html

  2. Put your cursor over the word Documentation. The system displays a list of products.

  3. Click Applications. The system opens the Oracle Applications Documentation screen.

  4. Click the link for Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2+ Online Documentation CD. The system opens the Oracle 11i Documentation Library home screen.

  5. Click the Documentation tab.

  6. Scroll down to Reference.

  7. Click the link for the Oracle Applications System Administrator's Guide — Configuration. The system downloads a PDF version of this book to your local temp file.

  8. Double-click the file locally to open it.

  9. See Chapter 10, "Printers."

Setting Default Printers

You can use the Oracle Applications Printer user profile to set default printers at the site, application, responsibility, or user level. Information is included in the Oracle Applications System Administrator's Guide — Maintenance, which is in the same location as the Oracle Applications System Administrator's Guide — Configuration.
