1. Click Next when you see the Welcome screen in the configuration wizard.

    Note: If you are not configuring Oracle Connector for Outlook at the time of installation, select Oracle Connector for Outlook, then Oracle Connector Configuration Wizard from the Start menu on your desktop.

  2. To create a new profile, click New and enter a name for the new profile. To configure an existing profile, select it from the Profiles list. Click Next.

    Note: You can remove, add, or modify profiles.

  3. If you have an Oracle Calendar account, enter the settings in the Calendar section of the Service Settings screen.

    Important: If you do not have an Oracle Calendar account but still want to configure your profile, click More Settings. Select the Calendar tab and select I do not have an Oracle Calendar account yet. This disables the Calendar section of this screen so you do not have to configure your Oracle Calendar account information, but can continue to configure your profile.

    1. Enter the name of the Oracle Calendar server in the Server Name field.
    2. Enter your Oracle Calendar account name in the Account Name field.
    3. Enter your Oracle calendar account password in the Password field.

      Note: Contact your administrator if you do not have the necessary information.

    4. If you do not want to be prompted for your Oracle Calendar account password when you start Oracle Connector for Outlook, select Remember Password.

  4. Enter the settings in the Mail section of the Service Settings screen.

    Important: If you do not have an Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) account but still want to configure your profile, click More Settings. Select the IMAP4 tab and select I do not have an IMAP4 account yet. This disables the IMAP4 field of this screen and lets you configure your profile without your IMAP account information.

  1. Enter the name of the IMAP (incoming mail) server in the Incoming Server Name (IMAP) field.
  2. Enter the name of your IMAP account in the Account Name field.
  3. Enter your IMAP account password in the Password field.
  4. If you do not want to be prompted for your IMAP account password when you start Oracle Connector for Outlook, select Remember Password.

    Important: If you do not have a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) account but still want to configure your profile, click More Settings. Select the SMTP tab and select I do not have an SMTP account yet. This disables the SMTP field of this screen and lets you configure your profile without your SMTP account information.

    1. Enter the name of the SMTP (outgoing mail) server in the Outgoing Server Name (SMTP) field.
    2. Enter the name you want displayed in your sent messages in the Display Name field.
    3. Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail Address field.

  5. You can enable mailbox caching, set startup options, set a refresh rate, and select offline settings by clicking More Settings.

  6. Click Next on the Service Settings screen.
  7. If you want the profile you just configured to be your default profile, select Set as Default Profile. Click Finish.
