How do I set my Auto Reply features?

  1. Log in to Oracle Collaboration Suite and select Mail.
  2. Click the Preferences link.
  3. Click the E-mail subtab.
  4. In the Auto Reply section, select Vacation, reply only one E-mail with each sender from the Mode drop-down list.
  5. Enter an expiration date in the Expiration Date field, or choose a date by clicking the calendar icon next to the field.
  6. Enter any text you want in your reply in the Text Message field and select the radio button.
  7. Click Submit.

How do I add a signature to my outgoing e-mail messages?

  1. Log in to Oracle Collaboration Suite and select Mail.
  2. Click the Preferences link.
  3. Click the E-mail subtab.
  4. In the Signature section are three fields into which you can enter signature text. Select the radio button next to the signature you want added to your outgoing e-mail messages.
  5. Select Text or HTML from the Type drop-down list to specify whether your signature appears as plain text or is formatted in HTML. If you choose HTML, you must supply HTML code tags to the signature in order to format the text, accordingly.
  6. To suppress the signature, select the Don't append signature radio button.
  7. Click Submit to apply any changes.

Why am I still over quota when I have deleted many e-mail messages?

  1. Open your Netscape Messenger e-mail client.
  2. Right-click a folder from which you have deleted messages.
  3. Click Compress Folder.
  4. Repeat for any other folders from which you have deleted messages.
  5. Right-click the Wastebasket folder.
  6. Click Compress Folder.

How do I change my Oracle Mail password?

  1. Log in to Oracle Collaboration Suite and select Mail.
  2. Click the Preferences link.
  3. Click Change Password.
  4. Enter all pertinent information.
  5. Click Submit.

NOTE: Changing your password in this way will change your single sign-on password, which gives you access to Oracle Collaboration Suite, in addition to other individual Oracle Collaboration Suite components.

Your new password will take effect immediately.

How do I create an e-mail filter?

  1. Log in to Oracle Collaboration Suite and select Mail.
  2. Click the Preferences link.
  3. Click Filters.
  4. Click Create.
  5. Enter all pertinent information and click Submit.

Filters can be applied at certain events in the lifecycle of a message. For example, a filter can be applied to messages delivered into the system, at which point the filter can be configured to move messages from certain people, for instance, into a specific folder.

NOTE: Filters created using the Oracle WebMail client are known as server-side filters and will be applied to messages regardless of which browser e-mail client you use. Filters can be created using various other e-mail clients, such as Netscape Messenger or Microsoft Outlook. However, those filters will only be applied when using that particular client on the computer system you were using when you created them.

How do I save deleted messages to my Wastebasket folder?

  1. Log in to Oracle Collaboration Suite and select Mail.
  2. Click the Preferences link.
  3. Click Folders.
  4. Select the Wastebasket folder from the Move deleted messages to: drop-down list.

NOTE: Other browser e-mail clients, such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Outlook, will have different methods of configuring the client to move deleted messages to the Trash or Wastebasket folder.
