System Requirements

Oracle Solaris Studio 12.2 software supports the hardware and operating system requirements shown in Table 1-1.

Operating system configuration
For the Solaris 10 OS: Entire Solaris Software Group Plus OEM Support, Entire Solaris Software Group, or Developer Solaris Software Group (To determine your operating system configuration, you need to verify the installed packages. Specific packages are installed for each configuration. See the Solaris OS installation documentation for more details.)
Linux OS must include the Development/Libraries Package Group.

Java SE Development Kit (JDK) 6 Update 13 or later is required to run the IDE, dbxtool, DLight, and Performance Analyzer. If you plan to use these tools and do not have the required JDK, you can download the JDK from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.htmland install it after you have installed Oracle Solaris Studio.
