Notes — Notes contain descriptive information generated by users about business transactions. Users can reference notes for additional information about specific quotes.
The Sales Assistance note type is seeded in Quoting.
Tasks — Tasks include actions that must be performed by the assigned user. You can add and assign tasks in Oracle Quoting.
Attachments — Users can add attachments to their quotes depending on their business needs, to store relevant documents or files along with orders in Order Management. For example, you can attach communications from customers or sales representative’s notes.

Attachments can be of the following types: Files, URLs, text, and document references retrieved from a document catalog. You can enter a description for an attachment and also specify a category for it. For an attachment that is free text, you must specify a name.
Prerequisites
The highest version of the quote must be used.
The user must have update access to the quote.
Notes
You can insert attachments in the header and line levels of a quote.
You can update an attachment if the attachment's usage is not Standard.
You can delete attachments in a quote even if it is in a read-only state.

Select the type of attachment to insert from the LOV:
File/Web Page/Select
Specify a description and category for the attachment, and define the attachment.
From Document Catalog
You can specify the search criteria to select a document from the catalog.
