This chapter covers the following topics:
When you submit an order in Oracle Quoting, the quote passes into an order in Oracle Order Management.
There is a valid transition defined from the current status to Order Submitted.
The user must have Update access to the quote.
The highest version of the quote must be used.
The profile ASO: Enable Submit Button is set to Yes at the appropriate level.
There is at least one line in the quote.
The quote is not expired.
The quote must not be submitted for batch pricing.
Notes
To place an order, select Place Order from the Actions LOV.
Once an order is placed, the order number appears as a hyperlink in the Quote Header. Clicking this link displays order details. You can also use this order number to search for the order in Oracle Order Management.
A quote does not reprice when it is submitted as an order. It will reprice when you add another item, or update a quantity. If an item on a quote becomes inactive on a price list, the quote can still be submitted as an order.
