Using the Dispense Supervisor Workbench

Understanding the Dispense Supervisor Workbench

The Dispense Supervisor Workbench helps you plan and manage dispensing tasks. It provides a Dispense Supervisor with the capability to manipulate dispensing tasks prior to processing by the Dispense Operator. The Dispense Supervisor uses this workbench to sort and refine the list of pending dispense tasks available to the Dispense Operator.

You can use the Dispense Supervisor Workbench to group dispense tasks together to create a master dispense plan. You can change the dispense required date to improve the facilitation of batch processing, and assign a priority to each dispense task. Change or assign Lot Numbers and Dispense Areas, and make use of the Mass Update feature to change several dispensing tasks simultaneously. Assign Dispense Operators to the specific tasks for which they are best suited. By being able to control what you are dispensing, you avoid dispense expiration - the maximum acceptable duration between dispensing and consumption of the dispensed batch material. The Dispense Supervisor Workbench displays the Required Date and the Dispense Expiration date for each dispense task. If a Dispense Expiration date has elapsed, then the Dispense Supervisor Workbench highlights the task in red, and warns you with a message prior to material consumption.
