The requestor implementation only attempts to use authentication; it does not ask the server to store any accounting information. It allows for a single node secret for each Screen. It is theoretically possible to use a distinct node secret for each server; however, this was foregone in favor of configuration simplicity whose resistance to basic limitations in the protocol was traded off against memory size and computation time.
