pppclose- C_INIT built-in command: requests that pppstart daemon starts a thread to open a PPP line on device

SYNOPSIS

pppclose device

DESCRIPTION

The C_INIT(1M) built-in command, pppclose, is used to request that the pppstart daemon close a PPP line previously opened using pppd on device. pppclose may take time to finish, because closing a PPP line usually involves sending termination messages to the peer.
