The LOCAL_CONSOLE feature affects the configuration of the C_INIT actor, see C_INIT(1M). When configured, it starts running the C_INIT command interpretor on the local console of the target system forever. All C_INIT commands described within the C_INIT(1M) man page are available. This allows a ChorusOS system to be administered without the need for a host system and an NFS server being available. This feature is not exclusive to the C_INIT RSH(5FEA) feature. Both can be set, enabling the C_INIT command interpreter to be accessed either locally or remotely through the rsh protocol at the same time.
The LOCAL_CONSOLE feature does not have its own API. All commands defined by C_INIT may be typed in on the target console.
