The POSIX-TIMERS API is a compatible implementation of the POSIX 1003.1b real-time clock/timer API. For detailed information on this feature, see intro(3POSIX). Note that this feature is simply a library which may or may not be linked with an application. It is not a feature which may be turned on or off when configuring a system.
