The Sun HPC ClusterTools Software Administrator's Guide explains how to configure and manage a cluster of one or more Sun
servers running the Sun Cluster Runtime Environment (CRE) job-management software. These instructions are designed for an experienced system administrator with networking knowledge.
Several distributed resource management packages can be used with Sun CRE to provide effective resource management and utilization accounting in conjunction with the Sun MPI parallel applications:
