N1 Grid Console - Container Manager

Sun Management Center 3.5 Update 1 supports a new add-on, the N1^TM Grid Console - Container Manager 1.0. This product manages containers, which can be used to give an application dedicated amounts of system resources. Containers are useful in a server-consolidated environment where multiple applications share the same system. The main features include the following:

• Container creation, deletion, and modification

• Application performance monitoring

• Process tracking in the container

• Scheduling changes to the container to fit changing resource needs

• Alarm setting to manage the application proactively

• Application usage accounting data for billing
