This document describes how to install and use Sun trademark

MTP J3270 software. Sun MTP J3270 is a 3270 terminal emulator that provides support for 3278 models 2, 3, 4, and 5 in both extended and non-extended mode. Sun MTP J3270 allows you to connect to any Telnet 3270 (TN3270) server, such as Sun MTP running the unikixtnemux server.

Using UNIX Commands

This document does not contain information on basic UNIX^® commands and procedures such as shutting down the system, booting the system, and configuring devices. See the following for this information:

Typographic Conventions

Typeface`^[1]`	Meaning	Examples
`AaBbCc123`	The names of commands, files, and directories; on-screen computer output	Edit your `.login` file. Use `ls` `-a` to list all files. `% You have mail`.
`AaBbCc123`	What you type, when contrasted with on-screen computer output	`%` `su` `Password:`
AaBbCc123	Book titles, new words or terms, words to be emphasized. Replace command-line variables with real names or values.	Read Chapter 6 in the User's Guide. These are called class options. You must be superuser to do this. To delete a file, type `rm` filename.
