Use the port mirror configuration to reflect Sun Secure Application Switch network traffic from a network source port to an observation port connected to network analyzer equipment. On the observation port, you can selectively monitor inbound traffic, outbound traffic, or bidirectional traffic without physically interfering with the actual network traffic data stream.
The system supports one mirror port per network processor (NP), where the NP controls a certain number of system ports.
