This document provides a systemic view of Content Delivery Server architecture. It expands on the level of detail provided in Chapter 1 of the Sun Java System Content Delivery Server Installation Guide to help you make informed deployment and capacity planning decisions.
This guide is written for planners and IT personnel responsible for acquiring and managing the equipment and software used for Content Delivery Server. This guide assumes some knowledge of networking, database, and Web technologies.
Before reading this guide, you should be familiar with the architecture of Content Delivery Server. See Chapter 1 of the Sun Java System Content Delivery Server Installation Guide for details.
